Set-Up Instructions: Windows NT 4.0
The following instructions explain how to set-up Windows NT4.0 to dial and connect to Tellurian Networks.
Step 1: Installing Dial-Up Networking
- Double Click on "My Computer"
- Double Click on "Dial Up Networking"
- You may be prompted to copy files. Insert your CD and follow the instructions on the screen.



Step 2: Installing a modem and configuring RAS
- If you don't already have a modem installed, you will need to add one now.




- To finish the installation of RAS/Dial-Up Networking, please reboot your machine.

Step 3: Setting up a phonebook entry for Tellurian Networks
- When you click on "Add a new phonebook entry" the "New Phonebook Entry Wizard" will ask for some information. Enter it as listed below:

- Name the new phonebook entry: Tellurian Networks
- Check the box that says: "I know all about phonebook entries and would rather edit the properties directly."

- Click on the Basic Tab and fill in as listed below.
IMPORTANT! The phone number displayed below is an example only, please click here to find an access number that is a local non-toll number for you.

- Entry Name: Tellurian Networks
- Phone Number: (Use the number given to you when you signed up with our service.)
- Click on the Server Tab and fill in as listed below:
- Server Type: "PPP, Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet"
Network Protocols:
- TCP/IP should be checked
- NetBEUI and IPX/SPX should NOT be checked
- Check "Enable Software Compression"
- Uncheck "Enable PPP LCP Extensions"

- Click on the Scripts Tab and fill in as listed below:
- Select "Run this script" and select "Generic Login"

- Click on the Security Tab and fill in as listed below:
- Check "Accept Any Authentication including clear text"

- Select the X.25 tab:
- This tab should be left blank
- The network setting will be "(none)" by default

- Click on "OK".
Step 4: Connecting to the Internet
- You will now be able to dial. Click on the "Dial" button.
- Fill in your username for Tellurian Networks - make sure you are using all lower case letters
- Make sure that the domain field is left blank
- You may optionally check the "Save Password" box if you don't wish to be prompted each time you dial
